State v. Case

Defendants charged with violation of Act No. 7 of 1892, entitled “ An act to prohibit the gambling game of craps, and to provide punishment therefor,” were found guilty, and each sentenced to pa,y a fine of fifteen dollars, and costs of suit; they appealed. This court is without jurisdiction, ratione materise, under Art. 81 of the Constitution, to entertain the appeals. The appeals are dismissed. The opinion of the court was delivered by Nicholls, C. J.
