State v. Lacour
State v. Lacour, 284 So. 2d 759 (La. 1973).
Opinion text
BARHAM, Justice (concurring). I concur in the majority’s finding that the State was entitled to impeach two of its witnesses. I do so because my examination of the record convinces me that not only was the State taken by surprise but that it was confronted with hostile witnesses. In this combination of circumstances where truly the State is surprised, the hostile witnesses may be impeached. I respectfully concur.
