In re Nelson Ray Charles, applying for remedial writs. Parish of Jefferson Davis. No. CR-1410-78. The trial judge is ordered to rule on defendant’s motion for a new trial. In the event of an adverse ruling, the trial judge is ordered to appoint counsel to represent the defendant on appeal.
